The Acanthophyllia Doughnut Coral, also known as the Cat's Eye, Tooth, Button or Meat Coral, is a spectacular centerpiece coral for any type of reef aquarium. It is one of the largest single-polyp corals found in nature and available in almost every color of the rainbow. It varies in color form from pastel, bright, translucent and drab.
Large and meaty, these corals are durable and not overly aggressive towards neighbors. Even still, it should be provided with adequate spacing since it can expand to twice its size. It requires medium lighting in combination with lower water flow. It should also be supplemented at night with food such as mysis or brine shrimp.
